Run for It All: The Cover Art Moment

Spread the love

There are so many steps to bringing a novel from the seed of an idea to a completed book to add to your literal or figurative bookshelf.

Whenever I reach the point of selecting the cover art for a book, there is a giddy energy that runs through me.  Although all publishers utilize some form of art specifications requests with their authors, there is a natural high when seeing an artist bring my characters to life.

Although there are times I have been surprised by the outcome and have needed to make significant adjustments/suggestions, the ultimate birth of the book is imminent when the cover art is complete.  The characters now have faces, and personality nuances that can be visualized instantly.

While September 22nd is the release date for Run for It All, I’m thrilled to have the final cover art and am proud to reveal it here.  The collaboration with the art department at Dreamspinner Press / Harmony Ink Press was a pleasure.  It took a few rounds of tweaking, but it is time for the big reveal!
