As most who follow soaps know by now, the-powers-that-be of the ratings-challenged Days of Our Lives have made the dramatic decision to replace on-and-off long time Head Writer Dena Higley with Emmy winning writer, Ron Carlivati (pictured left).

Those who follow the long running Days are relying on the writing skills of Carlivati to make the changes necessary to bring the show to the category of most watched and most exciting.

Many factors have fans crying out, including the return of fan favorite characters EJ, Sami, Bo, Jack, and Will, as well as returning to stories focused on drama revolving around core characters of the beloved Horton and Brady families.

In addition, resurrecting the DiMera, Kiriakis, Black, Carver, and Hernandez families in the roles of nemeses, friends, lovers, and colleagues of members of the Hortons and Bradys would set the stage for endless well-rounded umbrella stories.

With Ryan Quan, who has demonstrated devotion to Days history and character value, as Creative Consultant, there promises to be hope for the future of the beloved soap.
