Ron Carlivati Scripts on Days of Our Lives – Two Weeks In

Spread the love

Days of Our Lives new head writer, Ron Carlivati, has now had his scripts airing for two weeks.  I see a pace change and a definite focus on bringing back the core families and their associated characters.  As a multi-decade viewer (over 4 1/2 decades) of Days, it’s been a refreshing change.

Several viewers have also noticed that RC has clearly been paying attention to the fans — listening and learning what their interests are, and possibly more importantly, aren’t.

I’d love to know your views as Days of Our Lives enters a new era, with a new writing team.

Let’s Talk!!!

  1. I had mixed emotions with RC as head writer on Days. I watched General Hospital when he was head writer. He made a mess of my favorite couple Frisco and Felicia. But i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Boy am I glad I did. I notice the change immediately. The scenes are more fast paced, a little comedy, and romance. He is fixing what was not working. Bringing back old favorites. Most thing I am excited about he is putting #Chabby back together. The material that RC has giving Billy Flynn & Marci Miller has been fantastic. Billy & Marci are bringing their acting skills to an all new high.
Also there is no more doom and glum and stories dranging on forever. No more focus just on a certain few. (The Hernandez Family).
I have been watching Days since 1983. Has been a very long time since i have enjoyed Days this much. And cannot wait to watch the next episode

    • I’ve noticed a significant change in the pace and also have been enjoying the moments of humor and addition of romance that had seemed to fall by the wayside. While I know it’s early, these changes are a good start.

  2. I’ve been a viewer since Days premiered on my 17th birthday. I like some of RC’s work a lot but could we stop with all the captures/kidnappings/switches? It’s been done to death. Chabby united is a great start. I like the less doom & gloom I think he’s going to bring.

    • I hope this doppelgänger storyline isn’t too long and kickstarts other stories related to the veterans. So far I feel very positive about the changes already seen on air.

  3. I have been a fan of Days since 1966. Many great episodes over the years. The past two weeks has been a great change, the series was getting stale Love the new writers…Hope Chad and Abby are a couple again and the new Marlena goes away soon.. Love Days !!!

    • I’m with you — I see some very good changes over the past two weeks and hope we will continue to see a renewed energy on Days.
