Justin Hartley has truly embraced the role of Adam Newman, on The Young and the Restless, and made it his own. Hartley’s character has certainly been through an emotional roller coaster due to his father, Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) conniving, manipulative ways.
I had a number of scenarios in mind when Adam approached the day of his trial, but taking a plea bargain and receiving a sentence of thirty years in prison was not one of them.
Hartley’s moving portrayal of Adam’s farewell to his wife, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and their son, was heartbreaking. Having watched soaps for so long, I completely expected an eleventh hour savior. Instead we watched Adam taken away from all those people he loves.
Adam’s father, Victor, has promised to get his son free, once he can manage to get his own prison sentence reduced. However, Adam does not hold any value in his father’s commitment as it is clear whoever Victor’s partner was in setting up Adam, leading to his unjustified arrest, is not cooperating.
Audience viewers now know the mystery woman who helped Victor is Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), whose vendetta against Adam is evident.
I look forward to seeing how this storyline will play out and am completely enthralled by Justin Hartley’s powerful portrayal of Adam Newman.
How do you think Adam will earn his freedom? Will Victor’s initial plan be exposed or will there be another surprise twist to this storyline?
Let’s Talk!!!
I am sure that he will get out and rescue the women from the next murderous rampage! It is a get out of jail free card!
I hope it doesn’t come to that! LOL
I do hope we will continue to see Adam fight for his justice.
I hope he get out of jail real soon it breaks my hearts to see Adam. This way he seems like his giving up he don’t want Connor to see him this way I hope Victor will help out and find a way to get him out Justin is doing a tremendous job playing Adam.like what he doing now as Adam in jail
I’m looking forward to the day Adam reunites with Connor!!! I hope it is Victor who gets him out so Victor can begin to make amends. Thank you for joining in the conversation! 🙂
