I’m sure I’m not alone singing the praises of child actress, Brooklyn Rae Silzer.  Her performance as Emma Drake, on General Hospital, in 2015 was brilliant and demonstrated this gifted young performers ability to share her range of emotions.  I can not imagine there was a dry eye left for any viewer who watched Brooklyn Rae Silzer’s performance, as Emma learned of losing yet another mother-figure in her life.  Brimming with realism, it was easy to feel Emma’s distress at being “abandoned” for the third time in her young life.  I believed the frantic and unfilled demands of a little girl hurt to her core.  For such a young actress, Brooklyn’s emotional capabilities are truly outstanding and she, therefore, gets my nod for the Emmy.

Honorable Mention:  It would not surprise me if True O’Brien was awarded the Emmy based on her brilliant performance near the end of her run on Days of Our Lives.  My heart broke for sweet Paige Larson when she inadvertently discovered the truth of her mother’s affair with Paige’s boyfriend.  The depth of True O’Brien’s acting abilities came alive upon confronting those she loved with the painful knowledge of their betrayal.  Because of those significant, and deeply moving scenes, I would not be surprised if True was awarded the Emmy.
