Days of Our Lives is about to reignite a war their audience thought had been long resolved. As Chad DiMera [Billy Flynn] moves full speed ahead to rebuild DiMera Enterprises, it looks like the first, and biggest, casualty of its resurrection will be Titan, the Kiriakis family’s crowning company.
When Sonny Kiriakis [Freddie Smith] tried to reason and/or plead with his best friend, Chad, to release the choke hold on Titan he ultimately gets nowhere. As Sonny’s father, Justin [Wally Kurth] cautions, family loyalty is far more powerful than friendship. Chad’s sole focus is his infant son’s future and security, therefore proceeds with a business decision that could bury Titan for good!
Can Chad and Sonny’s friendship possibly recover? Can Kiriakis and DiMera family bonds permanently break a friendship that has lasted a lifetime, including through so much pain and turmoil during their adult years?

Chad is so concerned about leaving a legacy for his son that he can’t see Kate and Andre s plot to take it all from him. Hope Abby comes back soon!
ITA! I think Chad is going to be blindsided in ways he can’t imagine right now. This should be getting more and more interesting.
I’m really upset that they are doing this. The friendships on the show are scarce enough, the one that had a solid foundation between, is now going to go down in flames because of business? Its a really disappointing move on the writers part. If they wanted to fan the flames of a DiMera vs Kiriakis war, have it be between two other characters, NOT the two who ended the last war especially.
Chad wants to build a legacy for Thomas which is understandable, I’m not upset with that. But what is he in turn teaching him? That when it comes down to it, business is more important than friendship and honor and loyalty?
This is what I’m mostly upset about. I feel like if Chad REALLY wants to honor Abby’s memory than going after his own best friend AND who is her cousin certainly would not be acceptable behavior.
Its a bad move that I hope they fix once Marci Miller debuts as Abby in November. Maybe Abby truly is the only one to keep Chad centered, focus and on track.
I hope that this will be a soapy relationship break-up that will be repaired in a reasonable amount of time! Hopefully, all will start to get better with the return of Abigail. I, too, would hate to see this become a permanent wedge in Sonny & Chad’s life long friendship.
I really hope this doesn’t last I love the bond and humour between these too.So much great history together!

I have heard nothing about the character of Will Horton returning to Days of Our Lives. I have also heard nothing about Chandler Massey returning. It would be great to bring back Will, but I don’t see it happening at this point.
